Weekend of Cubs & Bears – Chicago!

by Leave a Comment

I am very excited of the amount of weekend travel I have been able to do this summer. From Denver in June, Vegas in July AND August, to San Diego in August as well. It was all capped off by this end of summer soiree to Chicago. I went with my friends Abby and Gina to visit a good friend of Abby’s from college.

All in all the weekend was filled with booze (first and foremost) and sports. That would be the best way for me to describe it because on Saturday we went to my first Cubs Game at Wrigley Field and Sunday was filled with football watching at few of Chicago’s finest sports bars. Even though I am not a Bears fan, it was fun to be in a place that was so passionate about sports. Not only their hometown teams, but also those in the Big 10 as it is such a central hub for many people in the midwest. Getting to see all the sites that Chicago famously has to offer was something I will never forget (that and a “chocolate shake”!!!)

Rain or sunshine, this city was the best big city I have ever been to. Small enough to feel attainable, large enough to have the amazing city vibe. One day I will live in a city… One day! That is now one of my ultimate goals!

I definitely did not feel adrift this weekend.
