Hello friends! Sorry for my delay in my usual Monday post, I was gone for a long weekend getaway in Taos, New Mexico. Lucky me, right?! Something about the Southwest and all its desert glory makes me want to move there asap. What weekend it was! This was a belated anniversary trip that was thwarted by snow in April, so we decided to do it this weekend for Todd’s 35 birthday.
We didn’t really have a set agenda, other than the Air BnB place we rented (I HIGHLY recommend staying at Springwild Casita! Dan and Diane are the very best. More on that later). So we did a whole lot of exploring and eating, which suited us nicely. I will have more info to share with you on things we did, where we stayed, and what we ate, but I thought I would share a few snaps from my iPhone for your viewing pleasure.
First stop: Rio Grande Gorge
A stop at the Earthship Biotecture. Completely sustainable living.
Our AirBnB place was seriously the best. We could eat all the food from the garden, they gave us fresh eggs from the chickens every morning, and the host even brought Todd a strawberry rhubarb cobbler in the morning of his birthday, because he had briefly mentioned it was his favorite. Seriously! mMade from scratch! This place was magical.
Farmers market and the Pueblos of Taos in the morning, and afternoon storms rolling in over the mountains.
Driving home and had a to make a quick stop! I want to go back!
