Creating a Travel Tribe (and introducing The Female Travel Collaborative!)

by Leave a Comment

My Tribe

Creating a tribe of girlfriends, whether it’s online or in real life, is something I have always prided myself in. It has also been something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately, as I continue to build out the Pack This brand and define A Little Bit Adrift.

I am lucky enough to have built a solid tribe of inspiring friends in my day-to-day life. They challenge me to be the best version of myself, and support me through the great  (and the not-so-great). I am equally grateful to be in a city like Denver, where motivated people from all over the country are drawn by its magnetic energy.

It took some time to find these like-minded people here in my adopted state of Colorado. I started meeting more of them when I began actively attending events for things I cared about, and truly putting myself out there. It took some time, but my friends here are so incredible, and they know me for the me I am NOW. I am a lot stronger and  business-minded than I have ever been before. But I also have an extremely solid group of friends from my time spent in California and Washington. I am lucky to call these women lifelong friends, which  know is something so rare. To have this many good friends is something I cherish, and I know how lucky I am. So I must start by saying Thank you, gals, for always being there for me!

{some of} my gang!

An Online Travel Tribe

The idea of an online group of women getting together in leu of real, personal connection is definitely not what what I’m going for here. The idea (as you will read below) is to continue to find like-minded individuals that share one of my passions: travel. I have those friends I can talk about it to, but nothing beats finding people from all over the world to connect with about my favorite subject. It is always one of my favorite parts of traveling, when you get to meet fellow women who are traveling and experiencing life the same way you are. To swap stories, tips, ideas.  To talk about destinations and experiences. I live for that, and that is what I want to cultivate!

The Female Travel Collaborative

So with that in mind, after many years of thought, I am starting a tribe of world educated women looking to connect and join forces.  In this private group I’ve created on Facebook  I want to use the Female Travel Collaborative to share stories, advice, photos and conversation about our personal experiences around the world,  and ways in which we can help one another regardless of distance. Sound like something you want to be part of?

With the Pack This brand, and the Female Travel Collaborative, I want to create a movement around more meaningful travel.
