Happy Sunday everyone! My lack of posting is solely due to working 60 hours a week to pay for this darn trip that I thought would be such a good idea. Ok, I am definitely not complaining because it is making me work harder and longer hours than I have ever wanted to. I have lots to catch up with you about including an exciting promotion and some fun things I have been able to squeeze in on the weekends (when I am not at work, of course).
As I plan my trip, I am getting all sorts of responses to my lone travel experience that is now T-minus 6 days away. Mostly “YOU ARE CRAZY.” Aren’t most ludicrous experiences in your life normally the most rewarding? That is what I think too. Well in an effort to save money, one thing I am planning to do is rent rooms (instead of staying in hotel or hostels) in both Barcelona and Paris. I found this great site that has rooms and reviews of all prices ranges in cities all over the world. I feel like this is safer than staying in a hostel, and I definitely can’t afford a hotel. It is the beauty of having my own space, but still getting to meet fellow travelers who are also renting rooms in the places. It is like smaller hostel!
I wanted to share with you the amazingly simple place I am staying in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, all for under $100 for 3 nights. Salud!
