A Walking Tour of Old Town Quito

by Leave a Comment

Can you believe it is already October? I need time to slooooooow down!

Anyway,  Similar to my walk around Quito with $1 in my pocket, I decided to do another walking tour of an easily walkable part of Quito (but this time I didn’t set a budget because I wanted to eat the good food around.)

I used the below map at the left, ripped from my guidebook, as the framework for my walking tour. This was a part of the city I feel like I had seen a 100 times, but never really knew what I was looking at.

I went through each stop and enjoyed learning a little more about this historic part of town. I am going to miss Old Town Quito; I can’t believe I leave it behind in just a few short days! 🙁

This guys face is priceless.
I don’t do anything to these pictures, and am using a crap Kodak camera. The clouds and sky are this fantastic here.
This was the #1 place to eat in Old Quito. It definitely did not disappoint. The ahi sauce (top corner) was the best I’ve had.  Ahi is at every restaurant, on every table, in Ecuador – so that is saying a lot. Well worth the splurge.
